At Success Academy, we believe strong instruction is for the students but about the adults. Whether students succeed or fail depends on the educators. The work kids produce is a reflection of their teacher’s planning, execution, and overall belief that they can do it. At our schools, we see scholar work as the ultimate mirror of adult practice. Common trends indicate if a teacher was clear – or not clear – when delivering instruction. They show whether or not a teacher’s lesson was engaging, well-paced, and focused. They help educators understand where to go next, whether they should reteach a lesson or try a new strategy.
